Even living in the same hometown and going to the same school for several years (although one year apart), Jenny and Fliss singularly failed to meet each other until 2003. Once they did meet, however, they quickly bonded over a mutual love of books, multiple episodes of Friends, and various snack-foods.
Despite Jen going away to university, her eventual move to London, and Fliss’s attempts to fit a Literature degree in around long bouts of procrastination, they have remained good friends, in part through shared interests in vegetarianism, feminism, and cake. Lots of cake.
Dissatisfaction with their old blogging site, and a realisation that their taste in books and their writing styles rather complemented each other, led to the decision to start a new blog together, and All Lit Up was born.
